Ingredients for Palava Sauce Lasagne Recipe

  • ¼ Onion, Chopped
  • 3 Scotch Bonnet Peppers
  • 1 Root Ginger
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Cup Water
  • ¼ Cup Red Oil
  • 2 Tomatoes, Blended
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Melon Seeds
  • Cocoyam Leaves
  • 50g Butter
  • 50g White Flour
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Tsp White Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • ¼ Vegetable Oil
  • 4 Lasagna Sheets
  • Mozzarella Cheese

Method To Make Palava Sauce Lasagne Recipe

  1. In a blender, add onion, scotch bonnet peppers, ginger, garlic, 1 cup water and blend to make garlic paste.
  2. In a pot on high heat, add red oil, 2 cups garlic blend, tomatoes and cover to cook for 2 mins.
  3. In same pot, add 2 beaten eggs, mixed with melon seeds and cover to cook for 1 min. Mix and cover for 30 seconds again. Then add cocoyam leaves to mixture and mix well to create palava mixture.
  4. In a separate pan, add butter, white flour, milk, white pepper and mix well to avoid lumps to create white sauce. Cover to keep warm
  5. In another half will with water pan, add salt, oil and lasagna sheets. Cover to boil for between 4-5 mins.
  6. In a baking dish, place white sauce, then lasagna sheets, then palava mixture, more white sauce and then sprinkle mozzarella
